Events Content Manager, Space

AIAA is seeking an Events Content Manager, Space to support the development and execution of space-related content across AIAA products and events. This role is central to shaping high-impact programming and building strong industry relationships in the global space community.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the implementation of ASCEND and ASCENDx strategies and ensure alignment with AIAA's broader objectives, providing input on growth opportunities
Collaborate with internal and external partners to build the ASCEND program, secure speakers, and ensure content relevance and impact
Provide support for ASCEND program development, including session planning, speaker coordination, content tracking, and collaboration across internal teams and partners
Lead the development and execution of programming at ASCENDx Texas and future ASCENDx events
Coordinate with marketing, communications, event operations teams and external partners to ensure program alignment and delivery for both ASCEND and ASCENDx
Conduct market analysis and competitive research to inform content planning, domain priorities, and AIAA product development
Support the development and execution of AIAA vision and strategy and roadmap for the Space domain
Assist with operational tasks required to advance roadmap initiatives and ensure timely delivery of planned activities
Build and maintain relationships with individuals and organizations that contribute expertise and support content development across the Space domain
Collaborate with AIAA communities to inform domain roadmap and promote AIAA's technical expertise to external domain stakeholders
Contribute to AIAA's thought-leadership activities by organizing panels, workshops, and webinars, and participating at relevant industry events to strengthen AIAA's visibility and connections

Required

At least 4-6 years of progressive experience in events, content development, business development, or project management
Strong tactical and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Entrepreneurial mindset to take a product from concept to execution in a short period of time
Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget while working under pressure
Strong interest in aerospace, science, technology, policy, and global cooperation
Creative, ambitious, passionate and intellectually curious about the development of aerospace and complementary industries
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Moderate travel required to execute and represent AIAA at industry events and conferences

Preferred

Bachelor's degree (engineering, science, or aerospace-related field preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Association or non-profit product management experience and/or business development experience strongly preferred
