Tax Credit Advisory Investment Banking Vice President
Marathon Capital is the largest independent investment bank dedicated to servicing the clean economy. The Tax Credit Advisory group is seeking a Vice President to support tax credit related investment banking mandates through financial modeling, materials preparation, and business development initiatives.

Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day aspects of solar, energy storage, carbon capture, wind, and other tax credit advisory mandate origination and execution, including building financial models, authoring offering materials, preparing pitches, conducting industry research and conducting marketing processes
Support all types of Marathon Capital investment banking mandates on financial modeling and tax credit monetization structures
Support internal technical training initiatives
Build sector expertise in renewable and conventional power generation, power and utilities, energy technology and infrastructure
Drive business development initiatives to further enhance the firm’s competitive position
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Background in renewable energy, including 4+ years of experience structuring, modeling, and/or executing tax equity financing, tax credit transfer, or project finance transactions
Confident in financial modeling skills, including ability to model U.S. partnership tax concepts and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Knowledge of or interest in energy transition, including renewable power generation, energy storage, power and utilities, carbon capture, and energy infrastructure sectors
Preferred
Finance or accounting degree preferred
