Human Resources Business Partner
Malin is seeking a dynamic HR Business Partner to join their team, supporting employees and leaders in managing employee relations and compliance with employment laws. The role involves collaborating with site management on performance and development plans, analyzing HR trends, and ensuring effective program implementation.

Responsibilities
Provide guidance and solutions for employee relations issues; advise on disciplinary actions, terminations, and legal compliance
Conduct thorough and objective investigations
Advise employees and managers on HR policies
Collaborate with site management on performance reviews, goal setting, and development plans
Identify training and development needs; partner with HR and training management to design and deliver programs
Respond to employee inquiries and connect them with the broader HR team as needed
Partner with HR leadership on key programs (performance management, talent management, retention, acquisition, onboarding)
Proactively work with supervisors and managers to develop performance plans and employee development initiatives aligned with business goals
Monitor and analyze HR trends and metrics to fuel responses, guide next steps, and improve program effectiveness
Manage leave of absence requests and cases, ensuring compliance and employee support
Respond to unemployment claims and represent the company at appeals
Utilize HRIS and workflow systems at an intermediate to advanced level to optimize departmental functions
Document improvement plans, meetings, policies, and procedures; maintain accurate records for compliance
Support other processes, projects, or corporate rollouts in line with annual strategic goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience
Minimum 5 years' experience resolving complex employee relations issues
Hands‑on experience with performance management processes, including coaching supervisors and aligning development with business goals
Experience managing absence cases (FMLA, ADA, disability)
Direct involvement in unemployment cases, including working with case workers and hearing officers
Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams (finance, operations, recruiting, training)
Prior responsibility for multi‑site HR support and navigating varying processes remotely
Strong knowledge of HR disciplines: compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws
Proven reputation for partnership and collaboration across all levels of the organization
Analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and recommend solutions
Proficiency in HRIS and workflow systems at intermediate to advanced levels
Advanced communication skills with a consultative approach
Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality
