Amentum is seeking technical System Engineer professionals to support Naval projects at Dahlgren, VA. The role involves contributing to systems and software engineering efforts across multiple prime contracts, focusing on solving complex Digital Engineering challenges for DoD weapons and sensor systems.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance

Candidates must maintain a valid Real ID driver's license required for access to customer site and have access to reliable transportation (rideshare options such as Uber, Lyft etc. are not permitted) as this position requires occasional travel between local worksites during the week

Ten (10) years of experience in DoD systems architectures, research, design, development, and test and evaluation, or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, or Computer Science and six (6) years of experience in DoD systems architectures, research, design, development, and test and evaluation

Five (5) years of experience working with either system engineering, requirements management and architecture tools (such as CORE, Rhapsody, MagicDraw, DOORS, Requisite Pro, OPNET, NETWARS, Caliber RM, and executable UM) or specialized experience in the areas of maritime, launcher, missile, weapon, or weapon control systems concept definition, design, integration, and engineering

Five (5) years of experience in DoD systems architectures, research, design, development, and test and evaluation, or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, operations research, or Computer Science and two (2) years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) systems architectures, research, design, development, and test and evaluation

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, operations research, or Computer Science

Preferred

Experience with requirement management, system design, and implementation of systems that possess qualities such as portability, scalability, and interoperability

Experience in working with system engineering, requirements management and architecture tools (such as CORE, Rhapsody, MagicDraw, DOORS, Requisite Pro, OPNET, NETWARS, CaliberRM, and executable UM). This includes experience in the development of DoDAF products including OV and OSD

Systems requirements management, systems engineering design, utilizing systems engineering software tools and performing systems engineering design, integration engineering, test and evaluation engineering activities
