Responsibilities
Lead testing, scaling and efficiency improvement of energy storage units
Lead planning for manufacturing multiple commercial units
Manage various contractors and vendors during assembly and testing
Work in a driven, collaborative team with a large amount of autonomy and ownership
Qualification
Required
Strong technical background in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and mechanical engineering
Experience in sizing and selecting equipment such as heat exchangers, sensors, and steam generation systems
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to design and implement system upgrades
Ability to ensure efficient integration of new components into the current infrastructure
Ability to lead design of large scale thermo-chemical energy storage system
Ability to leverage learnings from existing unit to help assemble the larger unit
Ability to test and qualify the large scale unit for commercial deployment
Ability to lead testing, scaling and efficiency improvement of energy storage units
Ability to lead planning for manufacturing multiple commercial units
Ability to manage various contractors and vendors during assembly and testing
Ability to work in a driven, collaborative team with a large amount of autonomy and ownership
Ability to move fast and the knack for getting things done
Preferred
Innovative mindset with prior experience in design, assembly and running pilot or commercial 1-10MW thermal, chemical or related processes
Machining, welding, electrical experience
5+ years experience in the Chemical or Manufacturing industry
