Fusion Operations Analyst - Hybrid

They are seeking a Fusion Operations Analyst who will safeguard sensitive policyholder data and operational systems, integrating threat intelligence and incident response while ensuring regulatory compliance and data privacy.

Responsibilities
Monitoring and analyzing threat intelligence feeds relevant to the insurance industry (e.g., FS-ISAC, sector-specific advisories)
Identify and assess threats targeting insurance platforms, customer portals, and claim processing systems
Map threat actor tactics using frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and apply findings to improve detection capabilities
Investigate alerts related to data exfiltration, ransomware, phishing, and fraud attempts
Coordinate incident response efforts across underwriting, claims, and customer service systems
Document incidents and support forensic investigations in alignment with insurance regulatory requirements
Partner with Risk Management on vulnerability assessments on systems handling personally identifiable information (PII), protected health information (PHI), and financial data
Ensure compliance with NAIC, HIPAA, and state-level cybersecurity regulations
Generate reports for internal audit, compliance, and executive leadership
Track metrics such as threat detection rates, incident response times, and vulnerability remediation progress
Support regulatory reporting and cyber risk assessments
Partner with fraud prevention, legal, and compliance teams to align cybersecurity operations with business risk
Develop and maintain playbooks for insurance-specific threat scenarios (e.g., fraudulent claims, insider threats)
Recommend enhancements to detection logic and automation workflows
May be called upon to handle other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job
2+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, preferably within insurance or financial services
Experience with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management tools (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike, Tenable)
Familiarity with insurance regulatory frameworks (e.g., NAIC Model Law, HIPAA, GLBA)
Strong excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred
CompTIA Security+, CySA+
GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP) – if applicable
