Responsibilities
Serves as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication
Acts as a role model and coaches while developing employees using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations
Conducts interviews with employee candidates
Recommends and documents appropriate discipline as necessary
Responsible for supervision, evaluation and training of staff
Ensures compliance with State Lottery Regulations, Internal Controls and company Policies & Procedures
Responsible for efficient performance of company accounting, auditing and procedural functions
Responsible for control of slot accounting records and reports
Coordinates and prepares all reports and submissions of auditing process
Supervises all revenue documentation and resulting entries into financial system
Promotes outstanding customer relations
Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Three (3) to Five (5) Years in Accounting or Auditing; gaming experience preferred
Knowledge of a casino slot accounting system
Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products
Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management
Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming establishment employees
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration Preferred
