Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking interns to join their Electrical team in Lansing, MI for Summer 2026. The role focuses on internal building design work and provides an opportunity to collaborate with technical and design staff while gaining real-life experience in consulting.

Responsibilities

Assist technical staff on day-to-day projects in their respective discipline

Collaborate with technical and design staff to complete billable real-time client work

Work alongside junior and senior level engineers to execute project deadlines

Network with current Colliers Engineering & Design professionals and gain real-life experience in consulting

Work across multiple disciplines with other interns and professional staff

In addition to the work-centered program, we also offer robust internship programming, which includes opportunities to work with other interns, learn about other areas of the business, and develop valuable communication skills and networking connections

Qualification

Required

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an Electrical or Architectural Engineering or related program from an accredited university or college physically located in the U.S

Must be eligible to work in the U.S

Highly motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment

Interest in building engineering, lighting design, or wiring

Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions

Preferred

Prior experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or Building design is highly preferred

Great communication skills is a plus

Prior internship experience is a plus
