Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies that align with the organization's mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility
Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications
Develop and implement proactive safety measures, training, and policies to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses in the workplace
Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, providing engineering solutions and preventive measures
Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans for HSE-related incidents, including accidents and environmental emergencies
Develop and manage the HSE budget, allocate resources, and seek cost-effective solutions to maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental protection
Promote environmental sustainability by implementing eco-friendly practices and minimizing the environmental impact of the organization's operations
Establish and enforce quality control standards in HSE engineering, conducting regular inspections and performance assessments
Collaborate with various internal departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, training, and education on HSE matters

Required

6 or more years of experience in Health, Safety and Environmental compliance
In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental best practices
Proficiency in HSE Management Systems
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field
Passion for promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship
Strong people skills, time management and personnel training programs
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Continuous learning and development
Ability to inspire and motivate a team
