Junior Architect
Space Craft is seeking a Junior Architect to support projects from early concept through permit drawings and into Construction Administration. The ideal candidate will work closely with technical and design leads, contributing to coordinated documentation and collaborating within a small team to ensure code compliance and design integrity.

Responsibilities
You will support projects from concept design through schematic design, permit submission, and into construction administration, working closely with senior technical and design leads
You will assist drawing production, rendering, design development, consultant coordination, and the day-to-day creation of clear, buildable construction documents
Contribute to development of drawing sets
Contribute to design and rendering efforts
Support preparation of construction documents for a smooth permit review process
Support development and maintenance of coordinated, code-compliant documentation across all phases
Coordinate closely with partners to translate design intent into clear, buildable solutions
Reserve time to connect with teammates, find mentors, and contribute ideas that improve our developments, our business, and our team
Read, learn, find inspiration, and participate in professional organizations outside of work. Do what you need to do to stay creative
Qualification
Required
0-3 years of relevant work experience
Alignment with Space Craft's mission to build walkable neighborhoods and sustainable buildings is essential
Comfortable with a fast-paced workflow, organized, and adaptable as project needs evolve
Value clear communication and enjoy working collaboratively with teammates and consultants
Willingness to think outside the box and generate creative solutions within design, time, financial, or other constraints
Eager to learn, open to new tools and technologies, and committed to continuously expanding your skills
Desire to contribute positively to a team environment and a culture that is inclusive, fun, engaged, and curious
Preferred
Proficiency in Rhino and/or Archicad is preferred, but not required — a willingness to learn new software quickly on the job is sufficient
