The Bridge Inspection Engineer will assist a Professional Engineer in performing NBIS inspections of in-service transportation structures and coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion.

Assist with contractor coordination
Assist with scheduling access equipment
Assist with preparing condition assessment reports
Assist with developing repair recommendations and cost estimates
Assist with preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction
Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural concentration
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate
3-4 years or more experience in performing in-service bridge safety, ancillary and other structural inspections
Analytical thinking, problem-solving and organization
Ability to work on multiple project assignments in a dynamic, fast-paced team-oriented environment
Experience in using Microsoft Office software including WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint
Ability to write, speak, and communicate effectively
Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Successfully completed FHWA approved comprehensive bridge inspection safety course meeting National Bridge Inspection Standards (23 CFR 650, Subpart C (FHWA-NHI-130055)
Experience in MicroStation, AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu
OSHA Fall Protection Training
OSHA Confined Space Training
Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) training
CSX/Norfolk Southern RR Contractor Safety Badge
