Managing Director, Cloud Infrastructure and Security
The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is seeking a Managing Director of Cloud Infrastructure and Security as part of our Information Technology and Services (IT&S) team. The Managing Director is responsible for shaping, executing, and overseeing the strategic vision and operational excellence of the company’s cloud infrastructure and security posture.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement the overall strategy for cloud infrastructure and security, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices
Build, lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and security professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Oversee the design, deployment, and management of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures across public, private, and hybrid environments
Establish and enforce robust cloud security policies, procedures, and controls. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., ISO, NIST, SOC, GDPR, HIPAA, etc)
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with cloud infrastructure and services. Lead incident response and disaster recovery planning and execution. Manage security audit, PenTest, Security awareness training, etc
Manage cloud infrastructure budgets, vendor relationships, and service agreements to optimize cost and performance
Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to executives and stakeholders regarding cloud infrastructure and security matters
Drive adoption of emerging technologies (including generative and agentic AI) and practices to enhance agility, security, and operational efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields
10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Deep expertise with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), networking, security frameworks, DevOps methodologies, and large Cloud based applications (Salesforce, Auth0, OKTA, Oracle, Informatica, Copado, GitHUb CI/CD, etc.)
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) and security standards (including AI regulatory and security compliance)
Proven track record of leading large-scale cloud transformation and security initiatives
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, CISM, CCSP)
