Responsibilities
Lead engineering development through FOAK for projects that vary in scope and cost from less than $1MM to over $10MM in support of new product innovation, renovation, expansion, and optimization
Provide engineering leadership to a team of internal and external engineers to develop learning plans that establish equipment designs to deliver against process and product success criteria
Know and follow Project Management Practices and manage all projects to meet or exceed project success criteria and timing
Develop and apply LEAN capability to support continuous improvement strategies and activities. Seek, recognize, define and solve problems to achieve business unit objectives. Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause
Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner, developing equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines and for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance and other personnel
Strengthen ways of working and standards within the team by being a coach and mentor for new team members and less experienced engineers
Serve as Subject Matter Expert in Engineering Feasibility Studies and Equipment Learning Plan Development
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering
7+ year experience in related engineering field(s) (Candidates with an Associate, Bachelor, or advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline and possessing applicable experience may also be considered)
Demonstrated experience in engineering design/feasibility and project management with the ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve project results within required timeframes
Demonstrated ability to network, collaborate and influence across staff functions and departments as well as manufacturing sites
Demonstrated experience leading external Technical Service Providers
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively
Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred
10+ years experience in related engineering field(s)
Experience and expertise in KC Personal Care capital engineering leadership including EFS, EDR, and project execution
Experience and expertise across multiple KC Personal Care manufacturing processes including Child Care, Baby Care, Adult Care, Fem Care and Wipes
Experience working with external technical service providers and equipment suppliers
Experience working with SolidWorks and AutoCAD for engineering layouts and mechanical design
