Responsibilities
Create original artwork for customer-specific product lines, including branded and private-label programs
Design customer-driven products across print, woven, and embellished textile categories
Apply a strong understanding of printing processes, woven fabrics, product construction, sewing, and embroidery techniques
Manage the design process from initial inspiration through production-ready spec kits and tech packs
Produce technical specifications, die lines, print and woven repeats, and color separations for factory production
Communicate directly with overseas agents and factories to ensure accurate design execution
Conduct ongoing trend and market research to identify new colors, techniques, materials, and product concepts
Create trend boards, designs, and planograms for internal and customer presentations
Participate in internal meetings and customer presentations as needed
Qualification
Required
Highly skilled in cleaning files, creating repeats, color separations, production art, and technical/spec artwork
Strong creative eye for design with the ability to research product and market trends for design and product development
Solid understanding of pattern repeats, layout design, and color theory
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
Thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Demonstrated ability to execute creative presentations and maintain a strong design aesthetic
Experience setting up production-ready artwork and die lines for factory use
High proficiency with Mac operating systems and Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop
