Test & Evaluation Engineer (Lead or Senior)

The Boeing Company is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer to join their team at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This role involves developing test procedures and solutions, analyzing data, and guiding others in test hardware design to ensure the safety of human spaceflight.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan
Develop solutions to calibration systems to achieve test requirements
Uses analytical tools to verify the design
Analyze, process and format data to customer requirements
Review test data, including off-nominal data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
Support the development and verification of test methods
Guide others in the design of test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements
Prepare and publish test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements
Present test results internally or externally
Archive data and reports
Train and mentor others
Works under general direction

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
4+ years of experience conducting tests in a lab, testing, or production environment
4+ years of experience with Avionics/Electrical Systems and/or Propulsion, Fluid Dynamics, Leak Testing or Pneumatic Panel Operations
Experience with guiding and setting priorities for the team
Willing and able to work in confined spaces
Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights with or without equipment assistance

Preferred

9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
7 + years of experience in space-based Avionics/Electrical Systems, and/or Propulsion system testing and/or Hypergolic systems
7 + years of experience with leak testing or operation of pneumatic panels
Experience with NASA customer
14 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
9 + years of experience in space-based Avionics/Electrical Systems, and/or Propulsion system testing and/or Hypergolic systems
9 + years of experience with leak testing or operation of pneumatic panels
Experience as Technical Lead, leading a technical team and setting priorities
