The Field Service Technician will perform repairs and maintenance on logging machines, specifically Harvester Heads, at customer job sites, ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Installation of loose heads onto logging machines

Performs troubleshooting, inspections and preventive maintenance of installed heads

Prepares and maintains records and reports for billing purposes

Required

Two-year degree in heavy equipment technician program or three years of experience and/or training in heavy equipment repair and maintenance shop or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position

Must have or be able to obtain a CDL license

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

Ability to write simple correspondence

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization

Speak English fluently

Preferred

Hydraulics and electrical components

Ability to read schematics

Experience with acetylene and electric arc welding
