Small Business Relationship Manager

Responsibilities

Acts as the primary financial advisor and business partner to clients, serving as the main contact for most client-related matters
Drives business growth by deeply understanding client’s cash flow needs, the industries they serve, analyzing business trends, and proactively identifying opportunities
Educates clients on KeyBank’s products and capabilities, providing tailored solutions to support their business needs
Collaborates with retail branches and networks actively to deepen client relationships and develop new prospects, including building a Center of Influence referral network
Leads credit processes, manages portfolio risk, assembles cross-functional teams for client needs, and ensures compliance with all policies and ethical standards

Required

Associates Degree or equivalent experience (required)
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a small business/commercial lending environment required
A minimum of 1 year of experience in cross-selling products and an ability and track record to meet or exceed aggressive sales goals required
Ability to build trust by taking a client centric approach
Deploys a long-term, innovative approach to problem solving and decision making with clients to build the relationship and generate solutions
Demonstrates expertise within defined industry or geography (vertical/sub vertical) and within product set
Exhibits a relentless focus on creating and driving revenue growth and generating results
Understanding of financial, operational, and strategic drivers of client organizations to provide relevant and impactful banking solutions
Uses structured sales methodologies, principles and practices without losing sight of the client and environment
Understands Key's risk culture and effectively manages risk/reward trade-offs
