Project Architect / Architectural Designer
Rheinlander Architects is a growing architecture firm specializing in senior living/care, commercial, and mixed-use projects. The Project Architect / Architectural Designer will lead and coordinate projects from concept through construction, ensuring compliance with building codes and client requirements while mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate architectural projects from concept through construction (Schematic Design → Design Development → Construction Documents → Construction Services)
Develop high-quality construction drawings and documentation, ensuring compliance with building codes, standards, and client requirements
Produce presentation materials — renderings, drawings, 3D models, design narratives, and space planning documents
Coordinate with consultants (structural, MEP, civil, etc.) and integrate their input into the design and documentation
Perform construction administration: site visits, field reports, review shop drawings and submittals, address questions during construction, and support project close-out as needed
Manage project schedules, deliverables, and budget constraints; communicate with clients, contractors, and internal teams
Mentor and support junior staff / interns (if applicable), contributing to a collaborative and growth-oriented office culture
Participate in firm-wide meetings, design reviews, and occasional business-development efforts, as needed
Qualification
Required
Experience: [e.g., 3–8 years+] in an architectural office, preferably working on mid-scale to large-scale senior living, commercial, and mixed-use projects
Proficiency with relevant software/tools: Revit, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, SketchUp, Lumion, and familiarity with code documentation, construction specification, collaboration tools
Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction methods, building codes, materials, and detailing
Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, and client-interaction skills; ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines
Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, with a passion for design, technical precision, and collaborative problem-solving
Preferred
Professional degree in Architecture
Licensed Architect / or working toward licensure / or eligible for licensure
