Responsibilities

Develops and implements comprehensive Microsoft Purview policies for data governance, compliance, and risk management
Creates and enforces governance policies for data classification, mapping, retention, and protection to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Includes SaaS apps such as SF, data shares, and file systems
Monitors and manages data access reviews and usage compliance using Purview's advanced data governance tools
Coordinates with different teams to integrate Purview with other Azure services and Microsoft 365 applications
Generates accurate, comprehensive documentation representing the total output of work delivered to the client
Keeps abreast of the latest developments in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 compliance and data governance features
Develops metrics and reporting mechanisms to enhance AI safety, security, and privacy. Stays updated on industry trends and best practices in AI ethics
Provides guidance on AI safety and compliance for stakeholders
Supports the AI compliance program by managing data and AI inventories to meet regulatory requirements
Maintains comprehensive documentation for AI system development and performance
Conducts risk assessments to identify potential AI system risks, including impacts on privacy and ethics
Implements protocols for continuous AI system monitoring and audits
Ensures AI data privacy and security compliance with regulations like HIPAA
Establishes and maintains Responsible AI governance policies, confirming AI systems adhere to ethical standards, focusing on fairness and bias prevention
Collaborates with Compliance and IT teams to align AI risk mitigation strategies

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline
Over 2 years working with ChatGPT or Copilot as a user with experience in governance
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Purview or other data governance platforms
Knowledge of data governance principles, including metadata management, data cataloging, lineage tracking, compliance frameworks and data loss prevention (DLP)
Familiarity with security and compliance standards for industry regulations
Critical thinking abilities and cross-functional teamwork experience
Proficient in effective communication and documentation with both technical and non-technical collaborators
Understanding of ethical considerations and risks related to artificial intelligence
Ability to conduct technology system risk assessments
Understanding of AI regulations and compliance requirements governing AI, data protection, and other emerging technologies (e.g., EU AI Act, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF)
Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easter Seals Southern California and/or program requirements
Ability to travel monthly to the Irvine office with reliable transportation, maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards. Must have and maintain proper auto insurance and vehicle registration
