Responsibilities

Support bank change projects to effect changes to organisational structure, client strategy, cost savings, headcount savings, property and infrastructure savings, profitability and other metrics
Support the Sustainable Finance and CIB Coverage Americas teams by providing expert advice on governance related matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks
Ensure that SF initiatives are aligned with the bank’s business goals and regulatory expectations
Ensure all SF products introduced locally, which form a significant part of the SF corporate plan, have robust risk controls built around them
Ad hoc support for management meetings, including analysis and preparation of risk papers
Engaging with coverage, finance, credit and other key stakeholders for support for investment proposals and BAU asks requiring approval from Coverage Head
Support with tail management and review on new client onboardings
Lead the development and implementation of robust processes and controls to manage governance and regulatory requirements
Drive the alignment of country processes in the Americas as much as possible to Group processes
Drive implementation of local reporting, ESRM or Net Zero requirements
Ensure that existing controls are implemented and reviewed regularly

Required

Minimum 4 years of experience in regulated financial institutions, experience in risk and controls or governance
Bachelor's or master's degree
Experience in business risk and governance in the Banking sector
Knowledge of Sustainable Finance, in-country regulatory developments, supervisory standards and best practices
Understanding of commercial strategy, portfolio management, change management and how these play into risk and governance controls
Ability to promote good teamwork, collaboration and management of conflict across stakeholders
Delivery and execution focused
Ability to work with lots of moving parts and complexity
Highly skilled in creation of reports and presentations
Ability to independently drive initiatives with minimum hands-on supervision

Preferred

Knowledge of environmental and socials risks and ESRM policies is a plus
Experience with dealing with regulators
