They are seeking a Senior VMWare Platform Lead responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and optimization of the core compute, storage, and virtualization components for the financial firm's private cloud platform.

Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex Infrastructure solutions for the private cloud platform

Expertly manage and optimize large-scale virtualization environments (e.g., VMware VCF, ESXi, NSX-T)

Design and implement advanced storage solutions (e.g., SAN, NAS, Software-Defined Storage) to meet demanding performance and capacity requirements

Ensure seamless integration of compute, storage, and networking components within the private cloud architecture

Develop and implement Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions for automated infrastructure monitoring and configuration

Perform advanced troubleshooting for complex Infrastructure issues, including performance bottlenecks and outages

Collaborate with network, storage, security, and application teams to ensure end-to-end platform stability and performance

Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to other platform engineers

Evaluate new technologies and contribute to the long-term strategic roadmap of the platform

Required

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Dallas, TX or be willing to relocate to these areas. This position may require travel in the US

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education

At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology

At least 3 years of extensive experience extensive experience in enterprise Infrastructure engineering specifically focused on large-scale private cloud and virtualization platforms

Mastery of virtualization technologies (VMware VCF, NSX-T, vSAN). Deep expertise in enterprise compute hardware (HP, Dell) and storage (NAS, SAN, block, vSAN). Strong proficiency in Linux/Windows Server administration. Expertise in IaC and automation (Ansible, Python/PowerShell). Advanced understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls)

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced certifications (e.g., VCDX, VCP-DCV, CCIE Data Center)

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and architectural design skills. Strong leadership and communication abilities. Proven track record of delivering highly reliable and scalable Infrastructure solutions
