Liberty Federal Credit Union is a full-service credit union seeking a Mortgage Loan Processing Assistant. The role involves processing mortgage loan files, communicating with members, and maintaining knowledge of mortgage products.

Responsibilities

Process mortgage loan files:

Contact member within 24 hours of receiving the mortgage file to make an introduction and request supporting documents needed in addition to ensuring initial disclosures have been signed

Request and collect supporting documentation from member

Prepare letters of explanations for members

Complete income calculation worksheet

Assemble loan files in e-folder in order for submission to set-up

Request supporting documentation from third parties as needed including ordering tax transcripts as required for loan files and obtaining verification of deposit, mortgage, employment, rent, installment and revolving debt

Communicate with member regarding the status of their loan

Field and answer incoming mortgage calls

Update the loan origination system as verifications are received from the member and vendors

Clear member facing underwriting conditions imposed by underwriters

Maintain a working knowledge of all credit union mortgage products

Develop a working knowledge of the credit union’s data processing system, loan origination system, Word, and Excel software
