Responsibilities

Act as the senior escalation point for Microsoft-related issues the client's internal helpdesk cannot resolve

Troubleshoot advanced problems across: Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID, Intune, Teams, Exchange Online

Provide guidance and work alongside the internal team to fully resolve issues

Ensure knowledge transfer so the internal helpdesk continues to grow capabilities

Provide expert oversight and recommendations on the client's Microsoft cloud environment

Identify configuration gaps, inefficiencies, or risks — and propose practical solutions

Offer ongoing environmental recommendations without taking on compliance, audit prep, or full administrative accountability

Conduct a high-level assessment of the client's Microsoft environment

Identify improvement opportunities in: Security posture, Identity and access, Endpoint/Intune management, Collaboration (Teams/SharePoint), Operational efficiency

Produce a prioritized list of actionable short- and medium-term recommendations

Co-develop improvement initiatives with the client's IT leadership team

Support initiatives such as: Conditional Access & MFA optimization, Streamlining Intune device and compliance policies, Enhancing Teams/SharePoint governance and workflows, Advising on data protection, backup, and recovery approaches

Provide hands-on support where appropriate, while empowering the internal team to execute

Stay up to date on Microsoft cloud product changes and roadmap updates

Advise the client's IT leadership on new features, enhancements, or strategic opportunities

Suggest practical ways to improve productivity, security posture, and cloud efficiency
