Responsibilities

Being actively involved in the development of the tools needed to design, build, deploy and support our unique and state-of-the art simulation infrastructure
Developing and integrating multidisciplinary models for a multi-vehicle simulation using Simulink and C/C++
Collaboratively delivering our simulations to our customers to inform decisions and ensure requirements are met
Interacting with engineers across disciplines to assist with and ensure validation of models

Required

Minimum of BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science
5+ years of software development and debugging skills, particularly in C/C++, MATLAB, and Simulink
Experience auto coding Simulink to C++
Strong fundamentals in rigid body dynamics, fluid mechanics, and 1st principles physics-based mathematical models
Hands-on experience with testing frameworks and Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines such as Gitlab
Experience with configuration management

Preferred

MS or higher degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
Strong debugging skills at the software/hardware boundary, and familiarity with software verification approaches
Experience developing software for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with verification and validation of aerospace simulations and models
Experience developing and maintaining simulation models including plant physics, sensors, and actuators
Familiarity with DO-178, DO-160, and DO-254 or similar guidelines
