Buyer 2 - Business Center North ( Purchasing )
The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is a leading public research university committed to the promise of a future powered by knowledge. They are seeking a Buyer 2 for the Business Center North Purchasing department, responsible for overseeing the purchase of goods and services, reviewing requisitions, issuing purchase orders, and developing bid specifications.

Responsibilities
Complete and oversee a variety of professional assignments to provide services for the purchase of goods, products and services required
Work is performed by reviewing and approving requisitions
Issuing purchase orders
Creating and/or editing bid and RFP specifications
Developing selection criteria and supplier requirements
Selecting terms and conditions in the best interest of BCN campuses
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration or closely related field and one (1) year of professional experience in buying, specification writing or related professional purchasing responsibilities
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and (3) three years of purchasing experience, one year of which was at the professional level as described above
One (1) year of experience as a Buyer I in Nevada State service
An equivalent combination of education and experience
