The intern will contribute to the development of the 6th generation of 3GPP cellular standards by investigating new approaches and developing simulators for energy-efficient initial access.

Investigate new and creative approaches and algorithms for 6GR energy-efficient initial access and/or control channel relevant to 3GPP NR standardization

Develop necessary link- and/or system-level simulators for the aforementioned 6GR energy-efficient initial access and/or control channel

If applicable, develop related IPR(s)

Qualification

Required

Currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering

Sound technical background in cellular communication systems and algorithms

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively represent the derived results and technical concepts developed in the course of the work

Ability to work within Samsung in cross-functional, cross-divisional teams

Hands-on Matlab/C++ coding skills

Preferred

Measurable familiarity with 3GPP 4G LTE and/or 5G NR standardizations
