Responsibilities

Conduct secondary and primary research into disease areas to understand the therapeutic landscape, research pipeline, and unmet needs. Screen opportunities for commercial and strategic alignment with Global Rare Disease priorities
Support the evaluation of long-term strategic initiatives and refinement of therapeutic area plans
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations, value & access, business development, R&D, and others) to develop a holistic view of opportunity impact
Assist in the assessment of potential partnerships, licensing, and M&A opportunities
Contribute to project management and process improvement initiatives as assigned
Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership. Synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into actionable insights
Participate in mentorship sessions, professional development workshops, and networking events. Complete a capstone project and present findings to senior leadership at the end of the internship

Required

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Life Sciences, Business, Economics, or a related field with an expected graduation date of Fall 2026 or later
Demonstrated interest in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, especially rare diseases
Strong research and data analysis skills; ability to extract insights from scientific and business resources
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred

Familiarity with additional Microsoft tools (e.g., SharePoint, Outlook)
