Responsibilities
Drafting pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and appellate briefs
Communicating directly with clients, claims adjusters, and witnesses; providing updates and strategic advice to clients
Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies
Handling all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
Defending clients in claims involving personal injury, property damage, medical malpractice, construction, transportation, and product liability
Defending cases in civil litigation and in binding arbitration proceedings in both state and federal court
Attending court hearings and oral arguments both remotely and in-person
Preparing for and mediating cases and/or settlement conferences
Qualification
Required
Active bar license in California
3-7 years of litigation and/or civil litigation experience in either state or federal court
Experience with trial preparation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional writing, organizational, and advocacy skills
