Responsibilities

Vision Translator: Transform the vision, goals, and strategies of the PH&S system and division into compelling communication and marketing strategies that are both annual and long-term
Integration Communicator: Oversee integration communications, collaborating with leaders to disseminate key messages effectively across the Division
Marketing Leader: Drive growth by overseeing marketing initiatives and working closely with divisional leaders
Advocacy Connector: Partner with government, business, and community leaders, including health advocacy groups, to enhance relationships and develop impactful programs
Mission Advocate: Infuse the Providence Mission and core values into communication materials and establish key relationships supporting our mission
Community Builder: Develop and implement relationship-building plans with the community and government leaders, representing our health system when necessary
Resource Steward: Manage the annual communications and marketing budget responsibly, ensuring effective use of resources
Image Guardian: Maintain the external image of the region in alignment with our business and mission, managing communications with media, public, and advocacy groups
Strategic Participant: Participate on senior leadership teams and community ministry boards, steering strategic communications initiatives
Crisis Communicator: Manage crisis communications involving regional executives, addressing issues such as lawsuits, mergers, and system growth
Brand Protector: Ensure adherence to corporate brand and graphic standards across all communication efforts
Team Leader: Guide marketing and communication staff to support regional strategies and align ministry communication directors with strategic goals
Project Manager: Oversee projects and production schedules, ensuring timely execution and strategic partnerships with Regional Chief Executives

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Health Care, Marketing, Journalism, or Public/Media Relations
10+ years in communications and/or marketing
5+ years working with senior executives
Expertise in strategy development, crisis communications, and relationship management
Ability to adapt communication strategies to the evolving healthcare landscape and translate abstract concepts into actionable plans
Experience fostering community relations and promoting our mission locally
