HII's Mission Technologies division is seeking a skilled Data Engineer/React Developer to support refining a centralized data environment with impact across the DoD. The role involves developing enterprise-wide systems and applications software, collaborating with team members to deliver features on schedule, and ensuring software compliance standards are met.

Responsibilities

Research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software

Will be involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards

Evaluate interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system

Document testing and maintenance of system corrections

Build and maintain reusable, performant, and accessible UI components using React.js (functional components, hooks, TypeScript) following modern best practices and design system guidelines

Develop complex, responsive front-end features from wireframes or high-fidelity designs (Figma/Zeplin), ensuring pixel-perfect implementation across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints

Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements and user stories into clean, maintainable code and deliver features on schedule

Familiar with scripts for data ingest pipelines (Python)

Familiar with Relational Databases (SQL)

Utilize Agile development processes

Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and incorporating feedback to maintain high code quality, consistency, and adherence to team standards and linting/formatting rules

Required

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience

Proficient in developing applications and automation scripts using Python

Skilled in optimizing React applications for performance, maintainability, and accessibility

Able to operate independently and within a team environment

Self-starter who takes initiative

Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance

Well-versed in React and Python

Knowledgeable about relational database (SQL)

Strong written/oral communications

Ability to work as part of a team providing productive input toward solving challenging problems

Familiar with scripts for data ingest pipelines (Python)

Utilize Agile development processes
