IT Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure
Implement and manage system upgrades, patches, and backups
Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools
Collaborate with MES and SecOps teams to ensure system integrity and compliance for production line systems and supporting infrastructure
Manage incident response and root cause analysis for system outages and performance issues
Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations
Support deployment and integration of new technologies and tools
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness for critical systems, including MES, DNS, and related infrastructure
Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience)
3+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or DevOps
Proficiency with Windows computer/server environments
Previous work/understanding of server virtualization (VMWare/Hyper-V)
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)
Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, SolarWinds)
Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)

Preferred

Certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, or CompTIA Server+
Experience with Linux Servers
Experience with Oracle DB administration
Understanding of ITIL practices and service management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus
Specific experience with Fortigate Firewall administration is a plus
Understanding of server/networking redundancy and disaster recovery mechanisms is a plus
