Key Account Specialist - Water Meter Testing (West Coast Territory)
Crawford Thomas Recruiting is representing a client with 40 years of experience in the water meter testing industry. The Key Account Specialist will manage key customer relationships, drive retention and growth, and collaborate with sales leadership to deliver tailored solutions for clients in the West Coast territory.
Responsibilities
Support Executive Sales Leadership in executing the Key Account Management (KAM) program
Assist with customer retention strategies, renewals, invoicing, and account administration
Monitor customer satisfaction and collect feedback to improve retention
Coordinate all key account communications, including meetings and conference calls
Participate in face-to-face meetings with key accounts as defined by the KAM program
Support sales presentations by preparing quotes, proposals, presentations, and product materials
Assist with account strategy development, competitor analysis, and upsell identification
Support sales leads in meeting key account objectives and quotas
Assist with coordination of TAB-related activities
Maintain proficiency in strategic selling milestones and discovery processes
Perform other duties as assigned
Support Executive Sales Leadership with new customer acquisition strategies
Assist with sales presentations, proposals, and account analysis
Coordinate communications and activities for assigned new key accounts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent
3+ years of experience in sales or account management with a proven track record
2–5 years of technical experience in related applications
Proficiency in strategic selling methodologies and Salesforce opportunity management
Strong understanding of product technology, applications, and system configurations
Self-motivated with strong initiative
Highly organized with strong time and priority management skills
Analytical thinker with creative problem-solving ability
Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs
Valid driver's license required
Ability to travel up to 50%
Ability to work overtime or alternative schedules as needed
Ability to operate a computer and related software
Must be able to speak, read, and write English
Preferred
Working knowledge of water metrology, AWWA standards (including M6), and water meter testing
Understanding of strategic selling principles and terminology
Experience in the Water Industry
Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and Asana
