Regional Sales Manager – Latin America

Responsibilities

Channel Development: Identify, vet, and recruit high-performing Manufacturers’ Reps and distributors in key industrial hubs (e.g., Mexico City, São Paulo, Bogotá, Santiago)
Network Management: Oversee the existing rep network, setting annual sales targets, monitoring KPIs, and conducting regular performance reviews
Technical Training: Educate local reps on the technical specifications, value propositions, and competitive advantages of our machinery (fillers, conveyors, palletizers, etc.)
Joint Sales Calls: Travel internationally to support reps during high-stakes presentations and site audits at major manufacturing facilities (Food, Pharma, Beverage)
Market Adaptation: Work with the marketing and engineering teams to ensure product documentation, manuals, and sales materials are culturally and technically aligned with LATAM standards
Complex Negotiations: Lead the closing process for large-scale CAPEX projects, navigating international shipping, duties, and regional payment terms

Required

7+ years in International Sales or Channel Management, specifically in packaging or heavy industrial machinery
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required
Proven track record of managing independent Manufacturers' Representatives in Latin American markets
Ability to explain complex automation and mechanical systems to both technical and non-technical audiences
Willingness to travel 50-60% internationally across the LATAM region
Deep understanding of Latin American business etiquette and relationship-based selling
Candidates must be based in the U.S. and possess valid documentation for frequent international travel

Preferred

Proficiency in Portuguese is a significant advantage
