Airport Engineer, Nebraska/Iowa
Kirkham Michael provides integrated engineering and construction services to a wide variety of public and private clients. They are currently looking for an energetic and knowledgeable individual to fill a full-time Airport Engineer position, responsible for completing designs, analyzing data, solving problems, and interacting with clients on airport projects.
Consulting
Responsibilities
Collects data and gathers information or documents
Performs standard computations or analysis
Prepares drawings and visual aids
Observes construction activities and/or basic survey services and completes accompanying reports
Assists on other tasks such as preparation of permit applications, material testing, CADD work, filing air space studies
Performs moderate design tasks and prepares portions of project documents
Edits specifications
Performs research and investigations
Receives supervision and guidance relating to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Receives direction on unusual conditions and developments
Possesses advanced oral and written communication skills. Represents the organization in communications and conferences pertaining to broad aspects of engineering assignments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
1-5 years of experience in airport planning, design, and general civil engineering
Software experience should include AutoCAD and/or Microstation
Preferred
P.E. license is preferred
Previous consulting experience on FAA and/or DOT projects in the Central Region is a plus
Familiarity with ArcGIS is preferred
