Cybersecurity Specialist Senior Advisor

Responsibilities
Protect FAA's mission-critical automation systems from evolving cyber threats through proactive defense strategies
Apply RMF principles to assess, monitor, and mitigate risks across large-scale, complex aviation programs
Provide hands-on expertise in secure design, implementation, and sustainment of FAA systems
Track, evaluate, and counter current and emerging cyber threats, tools, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
Support system accreditation, compliance audits, and continuous monitoring efforts
Collaborate with FAA leaders, engineers, and system integrators to embed cybersecurity into the foundation of NAS modernization
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship Required
Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance
Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience or Masters degree and 10 years or Associate's degree and 14 years experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience
Experience providing cybersecurity and/or cyber defense support to large, complex organizations
Working knowledge of current and emerging cyber threats and corresponding defense TTPs
Familiarity with RMF and its application to mission-critical systems
Ability to Obtain Public Trust Clearance
Exposure to FAA NAS Automation systems or other large-scale automation environments
