Olsson is an engineering and design firm dedicated to improving the world around us. As an Entry-Level Designer on the Rail Signal team, you will assist with drafting and design tasks while collaborating closely with technical staff to develop engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

Assist with basic computer-aided design operations including, but not limited to, annotation, red line corrections, and plan publishing

Use design software programs to draft plans or incorporate information from past, current, and ongoing projects into models

Perform engineering support tasks such as gathering data, updating and maintaining computer files, preparing copies of drawings, and documenting design changes

Include essential information in project production sheets, such as dimension and layout plans, title sheets, and detail sheets

Obtain initial instructions or direction from a supervisor or project manager, as all work requires supervisory approval

Required

Strong communication skills

Ability to contribute and work well on a team
