Responsibilities
Creating sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers
Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate
Tracking account activity for business analysis and reporting, designing technical solutions to meet our customers needs
Leading sales activities such as Technical Demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
Qualification
Required
Have 8 years of experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
Have US citizenship, due to the nature of our client base
Have experience working in a customer-facing consulting, technical solutions pre-sales or post sales role
Have background and experience in web acceleration, web security, infrastructure security technologies or cloud computing solutions
Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the internet, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, SSL protocols and Cloud Computing
Be a customer advocate passionate about delivering technical solutions
Demonstrate experience with presenting technical topics to diverse audiences
Be a team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment
