They are seeking a Studio Operations Intern to contribute to day-to-day operations, assist on special projects, and collaborate with cross-functional partners, all while gaining valuable real-world experience.

Responsibilities
Research and vet available sound engineers by reviewing experience, confirming equipment familiarity, and conducting basic background checks. Develop a searchable database of qualified engineers that Sunset can call upon for studio bookings
Document the historic significance of United Recording by cataloging photos, notable albums recorded, and archival materials. Synthesize this information into organized, searchable content that can support marketing, social media, and client-facing materials
Assist Operations and Legal in reviewing the current booking workflow and help develop standard contract templates to simplify rentals that fall under defined criteria, reducing turnaround time for smaller or repeat bookings
Support efforts to streamline the studio rental process by gathering resources, identifying workflow bottlenecks, and creating reference materials to help improve client onboarding and utilization of the space
Serve as a support presence for on-site clients, including Netflix clients, by providing assistance, answering questions, and ensuring a positive guest experience
Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas to enhance department goals
Complete a final Summer Showcase presentation outlining what you’ve learned and worked on during your internship and present to fellow interns and team members
Ad hoc duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Applicants must have recently completed (within the last 2 years) or be currently enrolled in an applicable college-level or trade school program
Applicants must submit a resume and cover letter. Your cover letter must clearly indicate your desired location & department(s) of interest, availability, and outline how your major, prior work experience, and/or career goals apply
Preferred
Knowledge of or hands-on experience with recording equipment and studio environments
Prior experience working with clients or supporting customer-facing operations, preferably within the music or entertainment industry
Strong organizational skills with the ability to document information, maintain databases, and manage multiple workstreams
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, when interacting with clients, engineers, and internal teams
Interest in studio operations, music production, or entertainment facilities management
