Development Coordinator-Wilson Center

NEOGOV is seeking a Development Coordinator for Cape Fear Community College’s Wilson Center. This role involves developing and managing strategic partnerships to support the mission of the Wilson Center, overseeing corporate relationships, and enhancing community engagement.

Responsibilities

Build, develop, and maintain corporate and business relationships within the Cape Fear Region to support long-term partnership revenue
Research, identify, and track corporate/industry prospects regionally, nationally, and internationally for series’ and operations’ financial sponsorship
Work closely with Wilson Center Sales & Marketing Departments to solicit and secure show-specific activation partnerships to increase ticket sales, minimize paid advertising expenses and contribute to economic impact within the region
Develop trade partnerships with applicable businesses which minimize operational expenses and create brand exposure for businesses within the Cape Fear Region
Coordinate grassroots efforts for community events on and off campus
Work closely with CFCC Community Relations and Student Services to create recruitment and activation opportunities for multi-disciplinary programs within the greater College
Be regularly present in corporate forums as an advocate for the Wilson Center
Work with each department in the organization; Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc., to properly execute all aspects of a sponsorship contract
Collaborate and assist with all communications and publications geared towards corporate partnership
Capture all corporate partner agreements, contracts, discussions, payments and activity in organization database
Work closely with CFCC Foundation to reciprocally track interactions, asks and leads
Develop and instill best practices within corporate partnerships program; build relationships with like colleagues across the industry
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required

Associates Degree
A minimum of three years of experience in business/sales/development
Demonstrated experience developing engaging and impactful sales plans and presentations, promotional campaigns, proposals and associated contract negotiations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Work weekends and/or evening hours as required
Industry specific requirements, technology and equipment utilized
Current trends, research, and development in the area of assignment
Strong internal drive and work ethic; willing to go above and beyond to deliver for the organization
Work well under pressure, multitask and meet strict guidelines
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate, influence and build positive relationships within a multitude of business environments
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and efficiently lead and prioritize multiple projects at once
Embody and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, even in stressful and/or demanding situations
Perform excellent organization abilities with a sharp attention to detail
Ability to effectively assist others with special needs
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including artists, agents, rental clients, donors, high profile clients and guests, students, college faculty and staff, and the general public

Maintain mental capacity, which allow the capability of making sound decisions, ensuring the safety of others, working in a fast-paced environment, answering questions, reviewing alternatives and making choices, responding to questions, and demonstrating intellectual capabilities
