Chief Digital Media Officer
Galvanize USA is a nonpartisan civic empowerment program for women aiming to build an inclusive America. The Chief Digital Media Officer will lead the content and audience ecosystem, driving narrative strategy and ensuring high-quality programming across multiple platforms to engage and shift audience perspectives.

Responsibilities
Drive the overarching narrative, persuasion strategy, and audience journey for all content across the ecosystem
Ensure all programs create content that earns attention, builds trust, increases return visits, and measurably shifts worldview over time
Maintain a cohesive, emotionally resonant, and persuasive narrative across multiple brands, formats, and platforms
Lead, mentor, and manage program directors, managers, and producers to deliver high-quality, high-impact programming; foster a culture of innovation, clarity, accountability, and professional growth
Own ecosystem-wide sequencing, prioritization, and programming calendars — ensuring clarity on what is happening, when, and why
Translate strategy into actionable briefs, budgets, timelines, and operational workflows
Approve creative direction across programs and uphold a high creative standard for storytelling, voice, and visual identity
Ensure paid strategy drives both audience growth and measurable persuasion — not simply distribution
Oversee production operations so content moves seamlessly from strategy → creative → production → distribution → evaluation
Partner with Research leadership to ensure testing, experimentation, and evaluation are embedded from the start across all programming
Build a fast-learning culture with disciplined experimentation, rapid evaluation, and continual iteration
Operate confidently within a multi-entity ecosystem and ensure all programming adheres to compliance requirements and narrative guardrails
Make strategic budget decisions across paid, production, technology, and staffing aligned to audience impact and ROI
Collaborate with Communications, Development, and Partnerships to ensure narrative alignment and leverage high-performing content in external storytelling and fundraising
Participate as a member of the senior Leadership Team

Qualification
Required
8+ years leading digital media, multi-platform media, or large-scale content ecosystems
Demonstrated ability to shift worldview, drive persuasion outcomes, or sustain meaningful engagement — beyond reach and impressions
Experience launching, growing, and managing digital media brands or products at scale
Proven success managing senior-level strategists, creatives, producers, and paid media leads. Agency or multi-brand experience is strongly preferred
Experience operating within multi-entity environments with fluency in compliance and narrative guardrails
Track record of making budget decisions grounded in prioritization, impact, and ROI
Master-level understanding of digital engagement: platform algorithms, retention mechanics, audience behavior, and what drives repeat engagement
Deep fluency in orchestrating complex content ecosystems — ensuring multiple programs and calendars ladder up to one cohesive, emotionally resonant narrative strategy
Strong creative vision; ability to guide teams to produce content that is compelling, values-led, and persuasive
Skilled at embedding experimentation, measurement, and evaluation into strategy, production, and distribution from the outset
Excellent communicator who simplifies complexity and brings clarity, alignment, and momentum across teams
Adept at leading content development at the intersection of equity, persuasion, and cultural resonance — ensuring content never harms or dehumanizes while meeting audiences where they are and guiding them toward progress
Comfortable leveraging modern tools (including AI-driven creative tools, insights platforms, and workflow systems) to increase quality, velocity, and learning
