Senior Polymer Test Technician

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned
Ensures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision
Possesses the ability to perform lower to intermediate complex testing
Ability to work alone the majority of the workday; only requiring assistance for clarification or confirmation of test procedures
Effectively manages time and practices accountability for the testing to be performed
Ability to take testing projects from start to finish, completing each step properly
Ability to hold team members and peer technicians accountable for the testing requirements
Advanced ability to read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing required in accordance with customer specifications
Ability to construct and maintain test fixtures and other laboratory equipment to ensure proper working order based on client needs
Ability to maintain and repair equipment
Ensures timely and accurate results with little supervision and technical input
Occasional lifting of 25-50 lbs. is required

Required

Proficient in compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures
Ability to perform lower to intermediate complex testing

Ability to take testing projects from start to finish, completing each step properly

Preferred

Preferred knowledge in DSC, DMA, TGA, Melt Flow, Environmental Stress Cracking (ESCR), Mechanical Test Strength (MTS)
Materials or Polymer Engineering Degree preferred
Recent graduates welcomed to apply
