Mid LevelKenton County School District is seeking a Coordinator of Family Resource Center to oversee the operations of the Family Resource Center. The role involves assisting students with mental and emotional health issues, liaising between home and school, and developing strategies to involve parents in school and community affairs.
Responsibilities
Oversees the daily operation of the Family Resource Center
Consults and cooperates with school personnel in assisting the mental and emotional health of the individual student having difficulty in school
Performs case work service with individual students to correct those personal, social, or emotional maladjustments related to their educational and social progress
Gathers information from home visits that will be useful in determining how best to meet the needs of the student and his parents relative to educational emotional progress
Serves as liaison between home and school, presents a positive image of school, and conveys the school's genuine concern for each child
Supervises the referral of students to, and serves as liaison with health, welfare, police, and other community agencies
Assists in developing ways of involving parents in the affairs of the school and community
Assists school personnel in developing strategies for using community resources to help resolve family problems
Keeps complete up-to-date and accurate records as required by law, policy, and administrative regulation
Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or other related field
Excellent communication skills
Preferred
Community liaison experience referred
Prior school experience preferred
