Responsibilities
Develop a research plan for the remaining weeks of the internship
Gain experience in operational psychometric tasks involved in administering and scoring a certification assessment
Collaborate with psychometric staff on a research project that supports NCCPA’s exam-related research agenda
Engage in weekly virtual meetings with mentors to discuss progress and address questions
Finalize deliverables to be provided to NCCPA after the internship
Submit a proposal to NCME, AERA, or a similar conference, culminating in a research paper
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. students working toward their degree in psychometrics (or other relevant fields)
At least two years of graduate coursework
Curriculum vitae
Student copy of graduate school transcript (does not need to be an official transcript)
Two letters of recommendation
Statement of purpose describing interest in the internship and qualifications in one or more of the research areas of interest
Benefits
Conference travel will be offset
Travel/lodging for trips to the NCCPA offices will be reimbursed in accordance with NCCPA’s policies.
