Responsibilities
Underwrite small to mid-sized commercial accounts, occasionally handling more complex risks
Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, using consultative sales skills to negotiate terms
Collaborate with sales to develop agency business plans and generate quality submissions
Analyze risks, document decisions, and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines
Contribute to strategic projects, mentor less experienced associates, and seek ways to improve processes
Qualification
Required
5+ years of underwriting, policy services, or related business experience
Bachelor's or Associate's degree (or equivalent business experience)
Strong communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of reinsurance is a plus
Preferred
Industry designations (CPCU, CIC, etc.) preferred
