Social/Clinical Research Specialist

The Social/Clinical Research Specialist will serve as a Clinical Research Coordinator, responsible for managing multiple clinical research study protocols and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice guidelines.

Responsibilities

Serve as a Clinical Research Coordinator within the Critical Care and Trauma Research Unit in the Department of Surgery
Responsible for the planning, organization, and conduct of multiple clinical research study protocols, including consenting, independently collecting and recording data, project administration and clinical trial assessments with appropriate follow-up, and communication with various stakeholders
Ensure all trial activities strictly follow the study protocol, regulatory requirements, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines
Maintain meticulous study documents, including regulatory binders, to ensure they are complete, accurate, and up-to-date, and report any adverse events or other significant occurrences to the appropriate parties
Specialize in extracorporeal purification device trials, wound healing trials, and/or pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic clinical trials

Required

Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally
Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

Preferred

Preference for applicants who have certified clinical research coordinator certification (CCRC)
Applicants who have previous clinical focus experience
