The Kinsey Institute at Indiana University Indianapolis is inviting applications for open-rank tenure-track or tenured faculty positions in Biomedical Engineering and Informatics. The role involves conducting high-impact research, contributing to teaching, and leading interdisciplinary initiatives in health and biomedical informatics.

Responsibilities
Conduct high-impact research in bioinformatics, computational biology, biomedical data science, health informatics, clinical informatics, biomedical engineering, medical informatics, biotechnology, or related fields
Apply innovative computational, analytical, and technological approaches to address foundational and translational challenges in health and life sciences
Demonstrate a strong and productive research program
Contribute to the department’s interdisciplinary, collaborative research culture and leverage unique strengths across the Luddy School and partner units
Promote BMEI research projects, teach subject matters courses, contribute to curriculum development, expand the department’s scope, and serve on a cross-disciplinary team to develop multidisciplinary research projects and training programs in the health and life sciences
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or clinical doctorate (M.D., D.N.P., D.D.S. or Pharm.D.) in biomedical informatics, medical informatics, biomedical engineering, computer science or related field and relevant research training and experience
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and develop a cutting-edge, independent research program
Demonstrated ability to exhibit effective teaching and to creatively adapt and expand pedagogy for online or blended learning
