Responsibilities

Serve as a senior structural analyst performing complex static and dynamic structural analyses of flight vehicles in the strategic missiles and reentry vehicle area
Mentor and guide junior engineers in structural analysis techniques and best practices. Review structural analysis models and results produced by the analysis team
Utilize a combination of ANSYS and other software tools (both COTS and Textron developed) to generate structural characteristics and responses
Define recommended changes to improve the performance/efficiency of structural design features
Summarize results and design application techniques during the above activities via presentations and design analysis reports
Up to 5% travel may be required

Required

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or a related field
5 years of experience in structural analysis and design (Level III)
10 years of experience in structural analysis and design (Level IV)
Extensive experience performing structural analysis in Ansys
Extensive experience in the generation of structural characteristics and responses
Desire to obtain a working knowledge of Textron developed software
Demonstrated capability/experience in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to document structural analysis methodology and results
Excellent communication skills are required, as the position requires the description/documentation of structural analysis techniques and results using a variety of tools (PowerPoint, Word)
Ability to obtain a security clearance is required
