Laser Communications Payload Systems Engineer
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Laser Communications Payload Systems Engineer to join their team in Littleton, CO. In this role, you will lead the design, testing, and verification of payload hardware and software components, ensuring the delivery of an integrated payload product for the SDA portfolio of programs.

Responsibilities
Lead anomaly investigation and resolution on payload hardware and software
Assist in the technical development and delivery of payload hardware and software components
Trend payload performance data across all vehicles and participate in data reviews
Coordinate with IPT leads across vehicle subsystems to deliver an integrated payload product
Qualification
Required
Experience with flight hardware testing
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Preferred
Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Optical Engineering, related degree, or combined equivalent education/related experience
Experience with optical communications systems
Experience with requirements and payload specification development
Experience with test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
Experience with System Integration and Verification
Ability to interact with hardware and software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied
Strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences of varying technical knowledge
Experience in optical testing environment
Experience with space vehicle testing
Experience working with vendors/suppliers for delivery of hardware
Active Secret clearance
