Responsibilities

Using work instructions, job traveler, blueprints, engineer drawings and specifications; inspects, checks, and tests materials, parts, components, and product during various stages of production including leave, in-process, and finished
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications; handle complex GD&T with limited guidance
Select appropriate inspection tools and perform accurate, repeatable measurements
Conduct dimensional, bore, plate-based, and functional inspections independently
Perform part alignments, surface evaluations, hardness checks, and visual inspections
Execute inspection CMM programs and perform basic troubleshooting as needed
Verify equipment calibration status prior to use
Complete inspection documentation accurately, including DHRs, travelers, and inspection records
Write basic Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) independently
Communicate inspection results clearly with operators, supervisors, and quality personnel
Manage assigned workload independently while maintaining quality and accuracy
Collaborate effectively with team members and support overall quality objectives
Adapt to changing priorities with some guidance while maintaining performance
Take ownership of work and promptly identify and escalate quality issues
Other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of metrology including measurement machines (CMM)
Must be able to pass annual visual exam (20-25, corrected, uncorrected, one eye)
Proficient reading, writing, oral communication, and comprehension in English language
Proven ability to work independently in a manufacturing or quality environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to learn new processes and apply feedback consistently
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All employees must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred

Experience working in the Aerospace, Medical or other highly regulated industry
Knowledge and use of metrology programming software
ISO 9001:AS9100 and ISO 13485 experience
Certified Quality Inspector
Certified Weld Inspector
