Zhone Technologies is looking for a passionate and creative Senior Software Designer, Web Application Development. The role involves designing and developing network-element management software for new and existing platforms and products, ensuring successful development of network management applications.

Communications InfrastructureHardware

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain HTML5/CSS/JavaScript web applications
Perform work item breakdowns and provide input to project scheduling via effort estimates
Document and review requirements and designs with peers and stake holders
Document, review and execute unit test cases for Element Management software applications
Provide support throughout the product verification cycle

Required

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
Superior design and coding skills in Typescript/JavaScript/HTML5/CSS web applications
Experience with debugging web applications
Sound technical judgment
Team player with excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Highly productive and self-motivated
Experience with ReST, JSON, and web-application development with modern React

Preferred

Knowledge of optical telecommunications (DWDM/OTN/SONET/Ethernet)
Familiarity with Element, Network Management Systems, or SDN Controllers
Familiarity with SNMP, NETCONF, and RESTCONF protocols
Experience in telecom or other high-reliability, fault tolerant, robust software environment
